I'm currently prepping to start working on the third draft of my debut novel. As I read through the second draft and editing notes. I notice that I have a lot of cleaning and updating to do. I have to add remove, and move scenes. I also have to update some content. I finished the first draft several years ago. At that time I had the cover designed. I was happy with the cover then. It was perfect for that time. However, I'm not feeling it now. I'm going to have it changed. I'm trying to get my story nice and clean before I send it to an editor. and the cover has to be right before I start the marketing campaign. The genre is Women's fiction.
I'm enjoying the process because I am having fun. and it makes me happy. I have created a deleted scenes folder, during this process. So I can use the scenes in the sequel or for another project. so I 'll never waste any words or a good scene.
